We’re a family team! I’m Carey-Lyn, and I designed My Day Planned because I needed a better way to keep up with life. We both use these agendas every day—for work, for home, and for everything in between.
Our mission is simple: reduce decision-making stress by creating tools that help you clarify, prioritize, and streamline your day.
We’re building this business from our kitchen table—with kids, dogs, and cats running around and the teapot always steeping. Every edition we release comes from a place of lived experience, not just theory.
How It Started
My Day Planned was born out of necessity.
I used to live in full-on chaos—and honestly, I was doing okay. But in one of our 1:1s, my professor told me, “You could be unstoppable… if you just got organized.” That moment sparked something. Could it really be that simple?
So, I started organizing. Every Sunday, I would open a Word doc, build a table with days across the top and hours down the side, and time block my entire week. That paper became my rock. By the end of each week, it was so creased it would fall apart.
That system worked for school, but once I entered the workforce? Not so much. Pocket meetings, emergency deadlines, rotating projects—I needed something more agile. Something that could change alongside me without changing me.
Several years and countless versions later, I’ve finally landed on my favorite iteration. And now, I get to share it with the world.
What Makes My Day Planned Special
- Four-month format – lightweight and focused (no need to carry the past)
- Monthly habit tracking – small wins that build real progress
- Weekly time-blocking – plan your priorities, not just your appointments
- Daily pages – includes: schedule, to-do list, notes, and space to reflect
Everything is built around a clean two-page spread—because flipping back and forth just isn’t it.
Who It’s For
My Day Planned is for anyone who wears many hats.
If your life is full but your priorities feel fuzzy, and you need a schedule, a to-do list, and a place to brain-dump every day—you’re in the right place.
Whether you’re a working parent, a student, or just someone trying to hold it all together, this agenda meets you where you’re at.
Why It Works for Us (and Could Work for You Too)
Our week starts on Monday, we work until Friday, and we recharge on the weekend. So that’s how the agenda is laid out—from Monday to Sunday. (Splitting the weekend in two just never made sense to me!)
We also got tired of lugging around a bulky planner. So, we made it quarterly. Yes, that means switching agendas every four months—but it also means starting fresh, more often. My mom even tears out pages as she finishes them. I guess neither of us like to carry the past around… lol.
The daily pages are my lifeline. They keep me focused on what matters, give me space to plan and reflect, and hold all my random notes in one place.
In other words: they keep me sane.
